October 10, 2024 – Chicago, IL – For the fourth consecutive year, Manhard, a leading provider of civil engineering and surveying services, proudly sent a stellar team of women volunteers to participate in Habitat for Humanity Chicago’s annual Women Build event. The event, held in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood, brought together a community of women to help raise the walls for change—both literally and figuratively.
Each year, the Women Build initiative works to break down the gendered barriers to homeownership and empower women in underserved communities. The event helps raise crucial funds and provides volunteers an opportunity to directly impact the lives of families striving for homeownership. This year, Manhard’s team of volunteers made an incredible contribution, raising over $19,000 toward the event’s overall fundraising goal of $700,000.
“We are incredibly proud of the Manhard team for their continued dedication to this impactful event,” said Tricia Manhard, Volunteer and Marketing Director at Manhard. “The Women Build initiative is a cause that aligns with our values of empowerment, community engagement, and supporting the growth of women in all sectors. Every year, the energy and enthusiasm of the volunteers, donors, and community partners come together to make an enormous difference, and this year was no exception.”
Manhard’s ongoing commitment to Habitat for Humanity Chicago and the Women Build event reflects the company’s dedication to corporate social responsibility and community engagement, as well as its commitment to creating stronger, more equitable communities.
