Dallas, TX – Manhard Consulting has expanded its services throughout Texas with the opening of a Dallas office in a strategic response to the area’s rapid economic growth. Manhard’s Dallas team will focus on private-sector projects including residential, commercial, retail and healthcare developments. This expansion follows Manhard’s entry into the Texas market 18 months ago with offices opening in San Antonio and The Woodlands. Jesse Conrad, associate vice president, will relocate from Manhard’s Vernon Hills location to serve with Brian Bridgewater, principal, and Jason Pyka, senior project manager; who, together, will guide the Dallas operations.
Homes in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area sold at one of the fastest rates in the country last year, totaling over 106,000 single-family homes in the area. As a result, Texas, specifically North Texas, currently has its smallest housing supply in almost three decades. With single-family homes in constant demand, DFW can benefit from an increase in civil engineers and surveyors to effectively utilize the land that is available.
Additionally, in 2017, DFW saw more construction starts than any other U.S. market except for New York City, totaling over $22 billion in construction costs. Industrial building space more than doubled since 2015, growing to 26.8 million square feet in 2017 and retail grew from 2 million square feet in 2016 to 3.2 million in 2017.

Last year, Conrad, a graduate from the University of Kansas, was named one of the International Council of Shopping Centers’ (ISCS) “CenterBuild Rising Retail Leaders Under 40,” a program that recognizes outstanding young leaders involved in the design and construction of shopping centers, retail stores and retail-focused developments. Bridgewater and Pyka graduated from Texas A&M University and University of Texas, San Antonio, respectively, both with Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil Engineering.
